Three years after ‘AdC’, the italian prog-jazz band comes back with a double album, mostly recorded live in studio and mastered by Udi Koomran, featuring special guest Alessandro Bonetti of Deus Ex Machina. Violato Intatto: The fourth album of Accordo dei Contrari.

«Violato Intatto is the Accordo Dei Contrari album that better reflects our real essence. We think that every track of Violato Intatto has a different musical identity and we’ve tried to complement each other. Violato Intatto is not a collage; it is solid and uniform, flowing and articulate, and in every moment it is crossed by a recognizable and constant energy, also in meditative and oniric moods. This is an everflowing energy, this is Accordo dei Contrari». Accordo dei Contrari is very proud of Violato Intatto, the fourth album of the avant/jazz/prog band coming from Italy. After fifteen years since the debut, after three albums greatly appreciated all over the world, the group encloses his musical appearance in a double album featuring 11 tracks: Violato Intatto is a powerful, intense and dynamic work by one of the most charismatic bands in Europe.

Born in Bologna in 2001, Accordo dei Contrari has released three album within 2007 and 2014, has played in many italian and international festivals, collecting great approvals in Italy and abroad. After having played at Crescendo Festival (Saint Palais Sur Mer, France) and Time In Jazz (Berchidda, Italy, thanks the trumpet-celebrity Paolo Fresu), Accordo dei Contrari has become a power-trio without electric bass: this is the line-up that has composed and played Violato Intatto. «Since our first days in the band, Accordo Dei Contrari was a trio with keyboards, guitars and drums, so our composition has not changed: many Giovanni Parmeggiani tracks’ basslines are piano driven, just like Lifetime, Doors and Van Der Graaf Generator. Anyway, we’re very pleased with the results, and our sound has a peculiar tone».

During 2015 and 2016 saxophone-player Stefano Radaelli joined Accordo dei Contrari, helping the band to complete a set of amazing tracks with a special inspiration and a lot of new ideas. This new quartet has release a double and multifaceted album, full of instrumental and shimmering jazz-rock pushing the boundaires of progressive and contemporary music, with some guests as Alessandro Bonetti, the wonderful violin of friends Deus Ex Machina. Violato Intatto has been recorded live in studio with very little overdubs and mastered by great Udi Koomran (Ahvak, Present, 5uu’s etc.). In Accordo dei Contrari opinion, «playing live in studio is fundamental, it builds our identity as band: for ADC there’s no difference between rehearsing, playing live on stage or in recording studio. Our writing is elaborate and complex, but our music must not exclude a collective way of playing: in our band everyone listens to the other, our dialouge is ever open and deep, so our music is uninterrupted, for us there’s no difference between composition and improvisation».

Violato Intatto highlights the charm and the distinctiveness of Accordo Dei Contrari. One of the most original and experienced italian bands worldwide.
