London-based band The Wood Demons announce their first commercial release, ‘The Lost Domain’, a five-track mini-album available exclusively as a Bandcamp download. Songs on the album were written by three of the band’s five members and showcase The Wood Demons’ numerous influences, from prog to psychedelia to alt rock, psych-folk, modal jazz, film music and classical.

‘The Lost Domain’ combines strong melody and lyrics alongside the band’s distinctive violin and retro keyboard sounds, and soaring guitars. It was recorded by Pat Collier at Perry Vale Studios in London, where the band will be returning in November 2017 to record new songs for a further recording release for 2018.

Track list:
1. The other side
2. Caught in the drift of an idle day
3. All alone in Istanbul
4. Poor traumatised you
5. Indian summer

“Very impressive. Best new psych that I have heard in a while. You guys are as good as many of the best psych bands from all time periods.” Rob, Pennsylvania, Facebook

“A love letter to the laid back prog rock of the late 60s / early 70s with all the self indulgent bits taken out. Elements of classic prog – King Crimson, Camel, PFM – fuse with neo-prog sounds – IQ, Pineapple Thief – with bits of the Beatles’ Indian experiments thrown in. Nice arrangements and performances, a tight set …”James, UK, Bandcamp
