Ryan Parmenter, founder of the defunct but still celebrated progressive rock band Eyestrings, have released his fourth solo album “One of a Different Color”. Made very much in a similar vein to the material explored by Eyestrings, Parmenter’s new CD is his first solo album since “Sad Men” from 2009.

The new album features the guitar work of David Dawkins on half of the 10 tracks, and features a musical “cameo” by Matthew Parmenter (Discipline), who contributes with violin on the titular track.

Ryan Parmenter wrote, recorded, mixed and produced the album independently. It was released on CD and digital formats on New Year’s Day 2018 through his independent label Split Difference Records.
