Back through the liquid mirror (Audio / Video release) is the new album of Corde Oblique, the first live in studio for the band lead by Riccardo Prencipe. The core concept of Back through the liquid mirror is about going back to the past of the band, while exploring new feelings. The energy of a live performance is recorded with the same high quality of a studio album, and maintains the power of a live show. This new release includes songs that have been performed by the band in a completely different way, after several years, in a much more powerful and dynamic way than the studio version. The best songs of the band coming from Naples have been 100% audio and video recorded live, at the Splash Studios in Naples.
In addition to the mastermind of the band, Riccardo Prencipe, the album also features members from Ashram and Argine. The tracklist includes also Corde Oblique versions of Kaiowas (Sepultura) and Flying (Anathema). Back through the liquid mirror has been released in European and Chinese editions. Corde Oblique is the Progressive-Ethereal-Folk band directed by the guitarist-composer Riccardo Prencipe, Graduated from the Conservatoire of Naples San Pietro a Majella. Since 2005 Corde Oblique released 7 full-lenght albums with different labels, distributed in Europe and World. Riccardo started in 1999 with his first band LUPERCALIA: they released the first album with the english label World Serpent (Death in June, Current 93, Antony and the johnsons, Nurse with wound). In many years Riccardo wrote music and lyrics for many voices and musicians. Corde Oblique’s albums featured a lot of musicians as Duncan Patterson (Anathema), Denitza Seraphim (Irfan), Simone Salvatori (Spiritual Front), Sergio Panarella and Luigi Rubino (Ashram), Alessandra Santovito (Hexperos), Corrado Videtta (Argine).
Corde Oblique shared the stage and performed in festivals with bands like Bauhaus, Anathema, Opeth, Coph Nia, Moonspell, Ataraxia, Persephone, Spiritual Front, Kirlian Camera and more. Corde Oblique is the very first Italian indie band who has played in concert in China.
