“An enthusiastic welcome to the LIFESTREAM debut, with a brilliant AOR oriented take on progressive rock, able to combine technique and melody, sustained by sinuous vocal lines. Respectful of the past, Lifestream look at the new prog scene with a proud look”
– Gianni Della Cioppa – Classix

“Diary” is the debut studio album by Tuscan band Lifestream, a band that has been active since 2006. All songs are written, performed, produced and recorded by Lifestream, while the CD is released by Lizard Records.

A videoclip for the song “Sound of the Earth” has been released, featuring nature-themed timelapses by the photographer Mattia Bicchi. Watch the video HERE

This album transports the listener inside the lives of different characters, like a wind flipping through the pages of a book. The compositions present musical recalls suggesting a common thread, despite being apparently disconnected from one another.

The sound is that of typical progressive rock (synthesizers, odd time signatures, long sectioned suites) with AOR and hard rock influences, explored in a total of 8 tracks (included the emotional 15 minutes suite of “Over the rippling waters”) and more than one hour of music in total.

The record closes with an excerpt from “E mi viene da pensare”, originally recorded by Italian prog band Banco del Mutuo Soccorso. This song has been chosen both for it’s introspective nature and as a tribute to Francesco di Giacomo and Rodolfo Maltese who passed away while this album was created..
