Music as a link between the artistic creation and the experience of living. This is the horizon that makes up the inspiration and the will of the Brazilian musicians Igor Almeida and Thiago Viana who conceived this project, entitled Life To Those Shadows, in search of new paths of sound and poetic manifestation, based on artistic liberty, input of musicality and intimate expression through the compositions.
And now, we have another sample of this musical experiment with the release of the third single taken from the upcoming album. Therefore, The Taste for The Infinite – whose title refers to the writings of Charles Baudelaire on hashish – invites us to a musical trip through the imaginary of sensorial experiences and altered states of consciousness, by the sonorous stimulation and the aesthetic fruition possibilities of a song that was conceived to arouse a psychedelic induction. That way, its progressive dynamics blends with the synesthetic suggestion of the layers and melodic arrangements, complemented by the cinematic input of a narrative fragment that transcends the initial concept and also a sudden tribal apparition at the climax of the song, which ascends in a heavy and vigorous way to its conclusion. Through the symbolism that influences the instrumental organization as well as the lyrical orientation around the theme, this artistic effort of detailed carving provides us with an interesting challenge of musical perception and language.
