One man thrash/death machine Tom Reynolds is back with a three-track EP, and unless he is very careful he is going to keep proving that music from these crossover genres have space within the mainstream as all three of these songs are incredibly melodic and packed with riffs, without losing any of the aggression or power. The solos tend to be somewhat slower than one may expect, more thoughtful and designed to work with the music as opposed to just creating a blistering notefest. The EP has been produced, mixed and mastered by Russ Russell (Amorphis, Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir, Megadeth etc.) and somehow, he has managed to capture the sheer heaviness of what is taking place and moved that into melodic sensibilities. As well as CD this has been released on Bandcamp, and fans of Amon Amarth, and Dark Tranquillity in particular should seeking this out.
