On March 17th, Karisma Records will make the 3 first Magic Pie albums available again. This time they will also be available on vinyl for the first time.

Magic Pie has become a household name for progfans around the world with their blend of classic prog and  70’s hard rock inspired by bands such as Spocks Beard, Dream Theater, Genesis, Pink Floyd, The Flower Kings, Transatlantic, Kansas, Deep Purple, Yes etc. Fronted by bandleader and guitar supremo Kim Stenberg, the band are known for their epic, energetic, melodic and sometimes heavy  prog rock with splendid vocal harmonies and great musicianship.

The “Motions of Desire” configuration of Magic Pie consisted of songwriter and producer Kim Stenberg (guitars), Eirik Hanssen (vocals), Jan Torkild Johanssen (drums), Gilbert Marshall (keyboards, vocals), Lars Petter Holstad (bass) and Allan Olsen (vocals).

Motions of Desire was the bands now classic debut album, that was relased on CD in 2005. Now re-released on Karisma Records and for the first time available on vinyl.

The “Circus of Life” configuration consists of songwriter and producer Kim Stenberg (guitars, vocals), Eirik Hanssen (vocals), Jan Torkild Johanssen (drums), Gilbert Marshall (keyboards, backing vocals) and Lars Petter Holstad (bass).  Lead vocals on Circus of Life was handled by Allan Olsen.

Circus of Life was the bands second album, originally released 2007. Now re-released on Karisma Records and for the first time available on vinyl.

“The Suffering Joy” configuration of Magic Pie consisted of Jan Torkild Johannessen on Drums and percussion, Lars Petter Holstad on Bass, Gilbert Marshall on Keyboards and vocals, Eirik Hanssen on Vocals, Eirikur Hauksson on Lead vocals and Kim Stenberg on Guitars, vocals and Synth Guitar.

The Suffering Joy was the bands third album. Now re-released on Karisma Records and for the first time available on vinyl.
