Jordsjø is a prog band from Oslo, Norway inspired by old horror movies, German 70s synth music, Norwegian jazz, campfires, Swedish folk music, fantasy novels and Norwegian nature.

After last year’s critically acclaimed album “Jord”, the band is back with their second album “Nattfiolen”. The seven songs fit seamlessly into their nature romantic, murky and apocalyptic forest prog. A dreamy and warm sounding record, filled with acoustic guitars, flutes, tape echo, analogue synths and Hammond organ. The music reflects the bands longing for a simpler life close to nature, and an imaginary past where life is centered around music.

The band, led by multi-instrumentalist Håkon Oftung (ex-Tusmørke), recorded and mixed the album in their own studio, and it was mastered by Jacob Holm-Lupo (White Willow, The Opium Cartel, etc.) at Dude Ranch Studio.

*Nattfiolen” is scheduled for release on May 24th through Norwegian label Karisma Records.
