Just two years later and Galley was back with the next installment of the ‘Phenomena’ series. As it was so quick after the last one, he was able to secure the services of many of the same musicians, although there were also plenty of new ones. One major difference between the two was although Glenn Hughes was again on hand to provide vocals, he wasn’t the only one, so there was also Ray Gillen (Black Sabbath), John Wetton (Asia, King Crimson, UK) and Max Bacon (GTR). Different singers and approaches mean that this is a far more varied album than its predecessor, and although it is still steeped in mid-Eighties production and arrangements this is a much more listenable and enjoyable release.

It also included one of those real rarities, namely a hit single, as “Did It All For Love” was #1 throughout South America. Listening to it with clear ears, it is interesting to note just how much it sounded like the Asia of that period, especially the chorus, and it is perhaps of little surprise that Asia fans were asking the band to play the song when they toured there. There are still times when it all blends into each other, but I believe that Glenn has one of the finest voices in the world of rock, and when he is given the opportunity there are few who can match him. Again, this has been remastered with an informative booklet.
