Think Avenged Sevenfold, Killswitch Engage, Marilyn Manson, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park and Wednesday 13 all blended together in a gothic pop mentality and you may just get an idea of what this band sound like. Apparently, they have been making quite a name for themselves and loads of people are raving over this their debut album. It is safe to say I am not one of them as this sounds massively commercial and produced within an inch of its death. I am sure the band sound very different indeed in a live environment, and I may even nod my bonce to the odd song if I happen to catch them at a festival, but as for investigating them out of choice, forget it.

This is music with no soul, no passion, and it has been designed for one purpose only which is to gain radio play and therefore chart position. By adding a strong image (and the artwork is easily the best thing about this release), there is no doubt they are going to be flavour of the month with many magazines. Me, I like my music to contain a little more honesty and soul, and even having played this a few times there is nothing here which sticks in my mind and the whole album just annoys me while I play it. I find myself writing something about this, then deleting it, so in the end all I will say is that I really can’t be bothered to listen to it anymore.
