Composer and multi-instrumentalist Rachel Flowers first gained notice for her musical talents as a child, performing for such esteemed artists as Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Herbie Hancock while still in grammar school. As a high schooler she began posting her covers of the music of Emerson Lake & Palmer on YouTube. She was immediately embraced by the Progressive Rock community and even became friends with Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, who became a beloved mentor to her. She has since gained international recognition for her original compositions and her live performances, incorporating elements from her extensive classical and jazz training along with a wide variety of musical influences from the worlds of rock, pop, and R&B. Subject of the award winning documentary film “Hearing is Believing,” Rachel has appeared on stage with artists as diverse as rock guitarist Dweezil Zappa, grammy winner Taylor Eigsti, and fusion violinist Joe Deninzon. She appears as a guest artist on a wide variety of recordings, and hosts the monthly podcast “Inside Rachel’s Brain” on the internet platform, House of Prog. Rachel’s fourth solo album, “In the Moment,” is slated for release in October of 2024. https://rachelflowers.bandcamp.com/
