Ferony might be a name new to many of you, but you may recognise his face as he has been in quite a few movies, normally uncredited, such as ‘Back To School’, ‘GoodFellas’, ‘Spiderman II’, and The Irishman’. Since moving to Los Angeles in 1985, he went to acting school, but he has never stopped singing and performing in clubs throughout the country. In more recent years he has been working with his own big band, taking us back to the days of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Bobby Darin.

This is not my style of music at all, I can honestly say I do not own any music by any of those above, but even though this is not something I listen to there is no doubt he knows how to get his band to swing. It does all sound a little too much Vegas for me (a city I have never visited and have no intention or desire to do so), yet more than 40 million people go there every year so what do I know? I have not enjoyed this album a great deal, but I recognise that in this instance that is down much more to personal taste than any fault with the album itself, so if this style of music is of interest to you then you may well get a great deal from this.
