There was definitely something about the title which got me interested in checking this out, as while it is the third album from the Milan-based death metal outfit it is the first time I have come across them. Apparently, the band were formed in 1996, but broke up after writing some material, and then reformed in 2017 and released the album ‘1996’ in 2019 based on songs from that time. I cannot find any information as to whether it is the same line-up as back then, as even the usually infallible ‘Encyclopaedia Metallum’ only has them forming in 2017, but it has certainly been the same line-up since then, with ‘Grind Hotel’ being released in 2023 and now this in 2025.

This is a blast, but there is also plenty of contrast and dynamics within, so they have not made the mistake of turning everything up and then crunching it all out as quickly as they can but instead mix tempos and attack so they can drop almost into doom, certainly into groove, as well as hitting death and grind. This makes for a very interesting release indeed, and one I found incredibly enjoyable, with the nuances of some keyboards and the switch into hard rock, making for some very interesting escapades. I haven’t come across any reviews of this album anywhere, but if you want to hear a band which takes on board loads of different influences and then mixes it up then this is for you. Anyone who can mix Sabbath with Raven, Candlemass with Cannibal Corpse and modern Napalm Death, certainly makes for an interesting listen.
