My love for vinyl records started when I was 7 and the Beatles came to the USA, and my mom bought me my first Beatle LP. I never stopped collecting vinyl from that point on. Influenced by three generations of musicians, I was a drummer for almost 40 years. I fell in love with Prog rock when my brother put “In The Court Of The Crimson King” on a turntable when I was 13. My musical interests run from Motown to Motorhead, but Progressive rock music is my true love and mainstay. I’ve lived in New York City most of my life and still frequent all of the vinyl record shops from Greenwich Village to New Jersey. I am also a big collector of CD’s as well. I was an avid FM radio listener until all the classic rock stations began going off the air one station at a time. My discovery of The House Of Prog (HOP) internet radio station revived my hope in radio again, especially when I heard one of the DJ’s, Nick Katona, aka The Mad Platter, spinning vinyl. The HOP staff has been nothing but a complete pleasure to meet and in my opinion, I haven’t met a more knowledgeable staff and better group of music afficionados or just plain great people, in one group in my entire lifetime. I have been known to have an infectious sense of humor and I hope I am able to share it with all of you every chance I get. Thank You & God Bless.
