“L’era solare”, is the new EP of italian musician Matteo Armellini and contains three pieces of instrumental music which draw inspiration from the great era of Italian prog – “L’era solare”, the solar era. The EP is available on digital platforms such as ITunes, Deezer, Spotify, Google Play, Youtubemusic and Beatport.

The idea for this EP was born when Matteo Armellini took a break in “live” musical activities. Gradually the idea of creating his first solo project started growing, and subsequently he started to work on previously composed material with the addition of new ideas and sounds.

Following the release of this EP the solo project of Matteo Armellini will continue to release futher instrumental material, based on the progressive rock genre, and have tentative plans for a new album or EP in 2019.

Bio:
Matteo Armellini is a drummer, keyboard player and composer living in Trentino. He discovered progrssive rock at an early age, and in later years he has also started to explore the jazzrock universe.

He is a big fan of Dixie Dregs and Spock’s beard, as well as an attentive listener of groups such as Genesis and Weather Report. A self-taught musician, he started playing the drums and keyboard at a young age, and has played in several cover bands so far, mainly as a drummer.

In 2003 he participated on Pino Putignani’s album “Cosa c’è che non va”, then began to work with Phaedra and their album “Ptha” in 2010. In the following years he has continued his “live” activities with various cover bands, as well as with singer-songwriter Andrea Lelli.
