Here is the third EP from Richard Johnson (Drugs Of Faith, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Enemy Soil) and Daniel Euphrat (Person918x, Timmy Sells His Soul, Bodied), and if someone had asked me which band this extreme electronic and industrial outfit reminded me of, it would definitely be Agoraphobic Nosebleed. I don’t know why, but there is something about their classic ‘Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope’ which compels me to play it at least once a month, and Johnson provided bass and vocals for that. Here he provides the vocals and field samples with the guitars, electronics and samples performed/recorded by Euphrat who mixed the record, after which it was mastered by Angel Marcloid at Angel Hair Studio.

This is uncompromising, all over the place, bringing in the furthest reaches of The Prodigy, Throbbing Gristle and Pig Destroyer, just five songs and 16 minutes in length, full of aggression and angst, daring the listener to stick with it to the end. This is not pleasant with summery ditties designed to raise the spirit but instead is taking us to the dark side of music, where there is venom and real danger. If the keyboards had been replaced by guitars, then songs like “The Blanks” would take on a far more visceral attack, but this is electronic music being taken to the extreme and far removed from what many fans of the genre would appreciate. Let us hope they stop messing about with EPs and release an album, as that would be excruciatingly intense.
