Another CD from Thierry, another older release (2017), and yet another band which appears to have released something and then disappeared without trace. I did manage to track down an old Soundcloud page for the guys, but none of their links work anymore, while the listing of the members is different to what I have on the CD, and I really don’t think they are active anymore. Five people are listed as composing the music, with two of them also listed for the lyrics, but apart from that I am a bit of a loss as to who did what. 4 songs, 20 minutes in length, the band describe themselves as (Deep Pop Franco-Tunisian) and is the meeting of an elegant East and a curious West.
For me this is somewhat lightweight pop, with vocals which are not quite as good as they could be, but there is also the promise of something different with some depth behind it, influenced by the likes of Japan and no-man. It certainly feels like an independent release, and some of the drumming is basic to say the least, while the keyboard sounds are often quite dated, but there is a hint here of something that could have happened if the band had stayed together and kept recording. As it is, this will be a somewhat difficult album to obtain although you can hear the tracks on their Soundcloud account (along with some older live cuts) if you feel intrigued enough to try. With the right support I am sure they could have left behind much more than just this.
